"The Sector Needed An Event Like This!"
Comments Of The Exhibitors
Four days of feast and business - that was the second Paris Cookbook Fair. Here you will find comments of the exhibitors about the fair. Watch short movies with additional information under some of the comments.

"With this fair Monsieur Cointreau has done a good service to the cookbook scene. In Frankfurt I have 50 to 60 meetings and absolutely no chance to walk around and meet other publishers. This is the great opportunity of a specialized fair like this: It offers a good overview on the divers subject of wine and cookbooks. And the show kitchens give publishers like us a good chance to discover new talents who could make it in Britain. We have had some very good contacts with authors and publishers from France, Slovakia, Russia, USA, Japan and Canada who are really interested in buying foreign rights of some of our books."

"The second edition of the Paris Cookbook Fair was even better then the first one. And for us as a publisher it has been very successful. It was the right decision to book a stand again. We had some serious meetings and set up new contacts. The best thing about the Paris Cookbook Fair is that it is not so stressy. Everyone has time for a spontaneous meeting and that helps to get in touch with people you won´t meet at the Frankfurt Bookfair, where you always have a full schedule with people to meet you already know."
Julia Bauer and Sabrina Parks (ri.)
Matthaes, Germany

"The second edition of the Paris Cookbook Fair has proved that the whole sector needed an event like this. The fairs in Frankfurt and London are too big and cookbook publishers get lost between all the others. And the ways are very long at these fairs. Here in Paris everything is easy. And an interesting cookbook publisher from Brazil is only one step away. It is amazing how many contacts we had during the fair days here in Paris."
Emmanuel Jirou Najou
Alain Ducasse Edition, France

"The Paris Cookbook Fair is a good vehicle to expose yourself and get in touch with publishers from other countries"
Chef Völundur Völundarson, Iceland

"Unbelievable how many people I met during the four days of the Paris Cookbook fair. Many professionals are interested in our old gastronomy book library. And after three days I was out of business-cards - the best sign of a successful fair."
Marta Lenzi
Fondation B.IN.G., Switzerland

"The success for Sweden and Husmansbord at this fair was tremendous. We have met people from more than one hundred countries."
Pelle Agorelius,
Husmansbord, Sweden

"After four days of Paris Cookbook Fair our conclusion is absolutely positive. We managed to present the Italian region Marche, its culture and food products to a broad professional audience, who is mostly focussed on Rome or Milano when it comes to Italian Cuisine."
Dott. Tommaso Lucchetti
il lavoro editoriale / „La cucina dello Spirito", Italy

„For Chinese publishers like us the Paris Cookbook Fair is a bridge to the world. It is a perfect platform for copyright exchange!"
Zhang Renqing
Food Culture Books of China, China

"The Paris Cookbook Fair and especially the Charity Cookbook Exhibition, with which we had shared the stand, was a perfect opportunity to present our non-profit organization Friends International. The people were very interested in our work to help children and our charity cookbooks."
Annegret and Denis Marot
Friends International, France

"The second edition of the Paris Cookbook fair was different from the first one. Last year‘s fair was very French dominated, this year it was much more international. The quality of the stands and the visitors have been extremly good."
Catherine Baschet (3.f.l.)
Le Cordon Bleu, France

"The Paris Cookbook Fair offers a universe of cookbooks on one floor. The scene really needed a fair like this. Here the diversity of the cookbook market is visible. Last year we were present at the Paris Cookbook fair and the salon de Livre in Paris. This year we have only booked a stand here at the Paris Cookbook Fair - it was absolutely the right decision."
Bruno Boidron and Alice Saintout
Edition Feret, France

"It is unbelievable how many new contacs to cookbook collectors and cookbook professionals we had during the four days of the fair. The sales were satisfying, but the benefit for an antique bookseller of a fair like this aren‘t in the first line the sales but the contacts. They will result in new sales during the next three years."
